About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Technician II to join our third-shift team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled technician who thrives in a fast-paced production setting and can take ownership of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and process improvement initiatives. The Technician II level is a key contributor to equipment reliability and serves as a technical resource and mentor to junior technicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Lead root cause analyses for equipment downtime and implement corrective actions.
  • Operate and program PLC and HMI systems (Allen Bradley preferred).
  • Execute and document preventive maintenance (PMs) following GMP and safety standards.
  • Support automation and reliability improvements in coordination with Engineering and Production.
  • Provide training and mentorship to Maintenance Technician I and Apprentices.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and recommend cost-effective improvements.
  • Collaborate with Safety and Quality teams to ensure all work meets compliance standards.
  • Remain flexible to perform PMs or system updates during Sunday maintenance windows.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing or GMP-regulated facility.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, PLC logic, sensors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Experience with HMI interfaces and automation troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in welding (TIG/MIG/ARC), fabrication, and machining.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead maintenance activities and support team development.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently on third shift and support emergency response when needed.
